Introduction
I present this study with fear and trepidation. Fear that somehow as a human and thus subject
to human expression and language, that I will cause this to be misunderstood and thus damage this beautiful
truth in someone’s eyes. Trepidation that, if I cause someone to reject this truth, the impact on their life
may be disastrous. So please remember that I am only a human vessel presenting a sensitive subject and pray
that the Lord will give you understanding and a will to study this out for yourself. This study is for
married couples or those who are contemplating or planning on marriage. It will deal with such issues as sex
and intimacy in the light of physical, emotional, and spiritual biblical truth as established in God’s two
first divine institutions. If you are uncomfortable with the subject of sex, you may not want to read this
study unless you’re willing to swallow your discomfort and study what God has for you on this subject, with
an open mind.
Why are so my people
uncomfortable with the subject? Because sex, part of a high and holy institution, has been raped, sullied, and
abused by the human race since the beginning of sin. It misuse had been so vile in some cases that many if not most
decent people considers it a dirty thing that is a necessary evil or something to be done in the dark and never
talked about. Since the beginning, after the fall of man, sex was torn from its high and holy state, as infidelity
and fornication cursed human kind. Rape and homosexuality further defiled what was supposed to be pure and Godly.
Also, lovemaking as part of the sacred marriage covenant was perverted into the prostitutes and orgies seen during
heathen sacred wrights and practices. Priestesses of Heathen gods sold themselves to worshippers and thus it went.
Today, sex is used and abused by any and all who seek either the pleasure it gives or the power it can provide to
be exercised over others.
So for many, the
truth about marriage, sex, and intimacy, has so been defiled by human kind, that it is nearly unrecognizable today,
and most people have no clue of its true remarkable nature and are therefore unable to drag it from the dirt and
filth, and place it back in its proper place. But do that we must. What was the true nature and power of sex before
it was viscously raped and turned into what it is today? What is sex and intimacy supposed to be, and what does it
have to do with marriage and especially the Sabbath? Two answer this, we must look back at the very first two
institutions given to man as a legacy from Eden. For it was in Eden, that sex, intimacy, marriage, and the Sabbath
have their origins.
